At her first visit to Sweden in 1971 Ryman sang in front of an audience of 4,000 in the Filadelfia Church in Stockholm, which,also used for the Nobel Prize ceremony when the Stockholm Concert Hall was being renovated. Her pianist Mani Mattsson had toured extensively with legendary Swedish singers Einar Ekberg and Rolf Bjorlin. He had also collaborated on more than 400 recordings and offered to record Ryman on his own label before she left for Australia. The record was ready in time for her Swedish tour in 1972 and Swedish - US tours in1973.

The contract included this recording as he trusted Ryman to do the job and she delivered beyond expectations with her magnificent voice and a message of Peace and Love. |

Erik Järnåker was a Swedish industrialist who became a major benefactor of Swedish music. One of his projects was to build a collection of old string instruments. David Bartov, the Russian born Israeli concert violinist, was assigned to spearhead this project. The instruments, which were donated to the Swedish Royal Academy of Music, are offered on lifetime loans to leading Swedish musicians. Another passion of the benefactor was Baroque music, which led to this recording with three outstanding artists. Eva Nordenfelt (1936-1996) was a leadimg Swedish harpsichordist;
