Ryman was a faculty member (Voice and Opera) at Nordic Music Conservatory/Nordic Chamber Opera, Stockholm for ten years, One of her most talented students was Sonny Wallentin who joined the Swedish Royal Opera in 1984.
in 1988 Chesne Ryman was recruited by john de Lancie, the Dean of the Music Conservatorium Division of the New World School of the Arts, Miaim, wnhere she wremained a faculty member and voice pedagogue for 30 years.
Denny Dayviss and Chesne Ryman were both students of Gustav Sacher, who had developed the so called "natural voice" approach to singing and became a celebrated teacher for rising opera stars in Great Britain. Dayviss soon emerged as one of most prolific Music Impressarios in London. Between 1968 and 1988 she presented more than 30 events concert versions of operas or concerts at venues such as Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Barbican Hall and the Wigmore Hall with r stars such as Joan Sutherland, Marilyn Horne, Montserrat Caballe' and Jose' Carreras.
In September 1988 she shared a recital at Wigmore Hall with her 90-year-old teacher Gustav Sacher. The following year they travelled together to Miami to give Masterclasses at the New World School of the Arts, where Chesne Ryman was the new voice professor.

In 1979 Chesne Ryman married Dr. Karl Mottinger, a faculty member of the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, the home of the Nobel Prize of Medicine. Later he became pharmaceutical executive in Sweden and USA.
